Today we decided to start cleaning up our little village. So we took 3 bags and pair of gloves and we cleaned up a small area. The kids kept asking why are we collecting the garbage. We told them that if we leave the garbage, the grass and the flowers will cry.
This was our first step towards preserving our small village community.

Chicory has more common use in our daily lives with the name of blue bile often found in the Rhodope Mountains in Bulgaria (Cichorium intybus). The plant is widespread and very easily recognizable. Although it is well known as a means of preparing a beverage that competes with the aroma of coffee, chicory is also a herb with significant health benefits.
Many people use chicory decoction as an alternative to coffee, which has the same invigorating effect but does not contain caffeine. Chicory is believed to act as a powerful detoxifying agent, but its beneficial effects are far from limited to detoxifying the body.

Way of picking the herb
It is performed in dry weather before noon. The flowers in the inflorescence open gradually from the bottom up, and therefore the picking is periodic, during flowering. Each flower blooms only one day – in the morning, it opens, and in the evening corolla withers. Only the corolla and the stamens fused with it are torn off by hand. Blooming wreaths are not collected. The collected herb should not be crushed.
